Mechanical Engineers enhance the quality of our life as almost every aspect of modern life involves directly or indirectly mechanical engineering.
The Master study programme “Engineering Technology, Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering” is designed to provide knowledge and skills for applying a scientific foundation to solve engineering problems in various engineering industries.
The main aim of the Master study programme is to train specialists in engineering science who would be able to work in modern engineering labour market, that is currently developing in Latvia and European Union, targeting economy to a higher level of economic development – international or global management system.
Studies focus on specialised courses in Applied Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering and Processing Techniques with a particular interest in the development of new composite materials, analysis of large dynamic systems, design of medical equipment and robotic devices.

Entry Requirements
1. Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate and Transcript with good results, particularly in mathematics and/or physics. Education documents must be accompanied by English translations of all certificates and transcripts along with approval of the documents authenticity;
2. If English is not your native language, all international students are required to provide a proof of English language knowledge. Preferably you should submit one of the following certificates with a minimum scores of:
If none of the above applies, but your studies at secondary school were in English Language, provide a confirmation letter from your school, unless it states on your secondary school certificate that medium of instructions were in English Language. In case of any doubts, RTU reserves the rights to ask for an official language certificate as listed above.
3. Students applying for master programmes will be asked to record a video interview.
