Engineering Technology, Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering

(Bachelor Degree Program)

course overview

Growing demand for modern and complex industrial machinery, machine tools, robotics and computer-controlled processes require highly qualified technologists for their development, manufacture, use and support. Specialists in mechanical engineering are professionals who are concerned with the principles of force, energy and motion. The study programme “Engineering Technology, Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering” provides deep understanding of fundamentals of Mechanics. Moreover, it places a strong emphasis on analytical engineering science and technical fundamentals, which require the ability to apply core mathematical skills.

During the first two years students master the basic education study courses: mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, materials science, theoretical mechanics, strength of materials, etc. The third year includes Specialized courses such as: numerical analysis of the mechanical engineering, machine dynamics and strength, process management methods and tools, rigid and deformable body mechanics.

Acquired skills of theoretical calculations and computer applications help to solve problems in mechanics and lab experiments creating a solid basis for a further career in industry or further studies in a master programme.
